Successful completion of Healthy Pakistan Mission 2012 Phase I

Healthy Pakistan Mission is a behavioral change activity in order to create awareness among children and the community members to adapt to the habits that would help them stay healthy and protected against diseases.

It’s the third consecutive year that ITA and Unilever have been running this campaign and during this time, HPM has evolved greatly and the possibilities are endless. It’s not only teaching children how to stay healthy, but also creating a sense of active and responsible citizen among the youth who will then become the leaders for tomorrow.

ITA has successfully completed the Phase I of Healthy Pakistan Mission in 11 districts across Pakistan including Karachi, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Charsadda, Mardan, Muzaffargarh, Swat, Hyderabad and Shikarpur. Total number of schools that were covered is 1200 benefiting 414,869 students and 2.4 million community members.

Phase II will resume its operations in September 2012 followed by the Grand Finale and Global Hand Washing Day on 15th October 2012.Share
