Lifebuoy’s CSR: Lifesaver School Program 2013

Lifebuoy and Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi have comeback with another year of exciting campaign with the voyage of health and hygiene. This year, 3000 schools and 1 million students will join the school of 5 and become part of the biggest handwashing campaign.

This year, the campaign will be following “Train the Teacher Model” instead of the classical “Vice Captain Model”. Teachers will carry the responsibility of spreading the message of health and hygiene and successfully implement the 3 weeks plan in their school. The pledge collection has completely gone mobile this year and students will have to collect pledges via text messages sent to “8646” along with their name and school’s name. Students with the top 5 pledge collections will be awarded with an Xbox 360, whereas everyone can win exciting gifts by collecting pledges for washing hands 5 times a day with soap.

We are currently in the course of enrolling schools and will be done by trainings by September 30th 2013. This will be followed by our grand event, The Global Handwashing Day 2013 inviting the best schools in the Lifesaver School Program 2013.

So stay tuned and keep visiting our website for more updates.
