Telenor HumQadam Activity at Dar-ul-Atfaal for Orphan girls in Bahawalpur

Telenor & ITA hands in hands for volunteerism””In context to Telenor’s HAMQADAM project organized an one day celebration of Talent Hunt for uplifting the moral of the orphan girls in Dar-ul-Atfaal (Female)on Friday 21st December, 2012.

In this context, ITA’s employees spend over a week voluntarily to renovate the highly required things of usage for the girls in the center.  That is oil paint of the main activity room, color follower paintings, maintenance of the cupboards and windows.

Whole center was decorated with colorful balloons, ribbons, flowers, paper made small flags. The girls was organized to do perform their talent by tubules, speeches, drawing and writing competition, sports (frog race, three leg race, find the coin and spoon race). The whole activities was performed by the fully involve ITA and Telenore staff themselves with the girls.

Number of the audience including orphan girls, Telenor and ITA staff and volunteers, DCO, District Officers of the Government Social Welfare Department was 110. Start of the activities was taken by the recitation of Holy Quran at 11am.

Objectives of the Program were defined and introduce by the Mr.Ilyas (Assistant Manager of sales and marketing) from Telenor to the audience. DCO and EDO Community Development had acknowledge the initiative taken by the ITA & Telenor in their speech and shows  will for both partners for moving ahead and contribute their efforts for the promotion and uplifting of underprivileged and the betterment of deserving communities as a mandatory part of the job. Afterwards, girls had shown their talent by performing tubules, speeches, drawing and writing competition and sports etc. Lunch was served to all and at the end of the day, winners of the different activities were awarded with trophies and all orphan girls were given gift hampers and sweaters of winter gifts.Share
